After releasing one of the biggest singles coming out of Dominica for the year 2017 “Big Eyes”, Dancehall artist ColtonT launches new single “Make Some Money” featuring international rapper Lil Flip.
Wesley Eric Weston, Jr. better known by his stage name Lil’ Flip is an American rapper from Cloverland, Houston Texas. He embarked on his musical career as a freestyle and battle rapper before earning a record deal with Colombia Records in 2002. Lil’ Flip is best known for hit singles “The Way We Ball”, which formed part of his certified platinum album Underground Legend, “Game Over” and “Sunshine”.
“Make Some Money” is one of ColtonT’s more inspirational numbers. It formed part of his Check Mate Mixtape. An associate from Flips’ camp heard the song and brought it forth to the Game Over rapper, where he immediately connected and laid down a full 16 bar verse. The intriguing storyline is inspired by everyday life experiences and aims to inspire people. “Life is about survival and everyday that you’ve been blessed with the gift of life, you’ve made it, despite any trials and tribulations you are facing don’t give up” said Colton. The song was produced by ICM records and beats by TC.
While the “Make Some Money” single is gathering momentum, ColtonT’s song “Big Eyes” is getting attention internationally. Single is now being played on some of the biggest stations by some of the worlds biggest selectors, Hot97, Power105 just to name a few.
